What is Spacerglass?
It is a woven fabric consisting of two deck layers with interconnecting 8-shaped piles and made of 100% E-Glass, with the piles woven into the deck layers. It is the only sandwich material where core and deck layers form one integral structure. Due to the capillary forces of the vertical pile yarns, the fabric stands back up to a preset height when laminated with any thermoset resin such as polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, or phenolics, forming a rigid, strong, lightweight laminate with excellent mechanical properties. The hollow space created between the deck layers can be used for multiple purposes.
